Mexican Frozen Hot Chocolate Pie

Ingredients
- 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
- 1/4 cup milk (at room temperature)
- 1 (11 1/2 ounce) package milk chocolate chips
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 1 1/4 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 (6 ounce) package oreo cookie pie crusts
Recipe
- 1 place beaters and mixing bowl in freezer. (this is for the heavy cream.).
- 2 melt chocolate chips in double boiler or microwave. (two minutes at 50% power usually works.) cool.
- 3 in separate bowl, whisk together sweetened condensed milk and milk.
- 4 whisk in melted chocolate.
- 5 stir in vanilla, cinnamon and cayenne pepper.
- 6 take bowl and beaters from freezer. beat heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
- 7 fold in chocolate mixture.
- 8 transfer 3 cups mixture to freezer-proof bowl. cover.
- 9 pour remaining mixture into crust.
- 10 freeze bowl and pie 2 hours.
- 11 top pie with mixture in bowl.
- 12 freeze overnight.
- 13 top with whipped cream and chocolate shavings, if desired.
- 14 the preparation time does not include the first 2 hours in the freezer.
