Ingredients
- 2 cups rolled oats (not quick)
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1/2 cup wheat bran
- 1/3 cup splenda sugar substitute
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/2 cup margarine, softened
- 4 tablespoons water
- 1 tablespoon vanilla
Recipe
- 1 combine all of the dry ingredients.
- 2 add margarine to the dry mixture until crumbly. melting the margarine helps.
- 3 add egg, vanilla, and water. form into a dough.
- 4 divide the dough into 16 bars, approximately 1/2 inch thick.
- 5 bake at 350f for 15 minutes on a parchment-lined cookie sheet. flip them over and bake for another 10 minutes.
