Oatcakes

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 25 mins

Ingredients

  • 2 cups rolled oats (not quick)
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup wheat bran
  • 1/3 cup splenda sugar substitute
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/2 cup margarine, softened
  • 4 tablespoons water
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla

Recipe

  • 1 combine all of the dry ingredients.
  • 2 add margarine to the dry mixture until crumbly. melting the margarine helps.
  • 3 add egg, vanilla, and water. form into a dough.
  • 4 divide the dough into 16 bars, approximately 1/2 inch thick.
  • 5 bake at 350f for 15 minutes on a parchment-lined cookie sheet. flip them over and bake for another 10 minutes.
