Old Fashioned Gingersnaps

Total Time: 15 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon ground ginger
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup dark molasses
  • 1/3 cup cinnamon sugar

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350 degrees f.
  • 2 mix the first 6 ingredients.blend well.
  • 3 beat the oil, egg, brown sugar, and molasses.add about 1/3 of the flour mixture, blending as you add.repeat until all the flour is added.
  • 4 roll the dough into tiny balls by hand.roll each mixture in the cinnamon sugar.
  • 5 place 5 cm apart on an ungreased cookie sheet.bake 10 minutes until the tops are rounded and slightly cracked.cool on a wire rack.store in an airtight container.
