Rich Chocolate Brownies

Ingredients

  • 3/4 lb bittersweet chocolate
  • 1 1/8 lbs butter
  • 15 ounces eggs (4-5 eggs, mix whites and yolk)
  • 2 1/4 lbs sugar
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 3/4 lb flour
  • 12 ounces mixed chopped nuts
  • 3/4 lb bittersweet chocolate
  • 8 ounces heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons corn syrup

Recipe

  • 1 melt butter and chocolate together over a warm water bath.
  • 2 combine the eggs, sugar, and salt together then beat on high until thick and light.
  • 3 pour a little of the chocolate mixture at a time into the egg mixture until the egg mixture warms up, then add the rest of the egg mixture.
  • 4 fold in the flour.
  • 5 pour into a 13x13 pan that has been greased on the bottom only.
  • 6 sprinkle with nuts.
  • 7 bake at 350of about 30 minutes.
  • 8 glaze(optional)
  • 9 chop the chocolate and put it into a mixing bowl.
  • 10 heat the cream and syrup just to a boil and remove from heat.
  • 11 pour the hot cream over the chocolate.
  • 12 stir the mixture until it is perfectly smooth. this will take a while.
  • 13 pour the warm mixture over cooled brownies.
