Granola

Ingredients
- 1 cup barley
- 1 cup spelt, flakes
- 1 cup old fashioned oats
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 tablespoon safflower oil
- 1 cup almonds, sliced
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 325-degrees f.
- 2 in a bowl mix together first three ingredients (flakes - oats).
- 3 spread mixture onto a rimmed cookie sheet. bake 30-40 minutes, turning every 10 minutes or so and mixture is golden brown.
- 4 transfer mixture to bowl and add remaining ingredients, tossing to coat.
- 5 return mixture to cookie sheet, spreading in an even layer.
- 6 bake for 20 minutes, stirring after 10 minutes, and mixture is golden brown.
- 7 let cool.
- 8 granola can be stored in a covered container for up to 3 weeks.
