Ingredients
- 2 1/4 cups flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 3/4 teaspoons ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
- 3/4 cup butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup molasses
- 1 egg
Recipe
- 1 combine dry ingredients.
- 2 cream butter and sugar.
- 3 beat in molasses and egg.
- 4 beat in flour mixture.
- 5 wrap dough in plastic wrap and chill (a few hours or overnight) shape chilled dough into 1 inch balls.
- 6 bake on parchment paper lined cookie sheets at 375 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes.
- 7 the cookies will spread and the tops will be crackled and soft looking when done.
- 8 cool on a wire rack.
