Granny Owsley’s Spiced Pecans

Ingredients

• 4 cups pecans
• 1 egg
• 1 teaspoon water
• 1 cup sugar
• 1 teaspoon cinnamon
• 1/2 cup butter, melted

Recipe

• 1 beat egg whites and water till frothy.
• 2 put pecan halves in bowl and pour egg mixture over them. coat well.
• 3 pour sugar mixture over and coat well.
• 4 pour melted butter in bottom of cookie sheet.
• 5 place pecans on cookie sheet in a single layer.
• 6 bake 240 degrees for 1 ½ hours, stirring every 15 minutes.
• 7 store in airtight container.
