Snickerdoodles (the Best)

Total Time: 28 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 8 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup margarine or 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon

Recipe

  • 1 heat the oven to 400°f.
  • 2 next, in a large bowl, beat 1 1/2 cups sugar and margarine until light and fluffy.
  • 3 add vanilla and eggs and blend well.
  • 4 add flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt, and mix well.
  • 5 mix 2 tbsp sugar and 2 tsp cinnamon in small bowl.
  • 6 shape the dough into balls (approx 1-inch or whatever your preference) and roll in the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  • 7 place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
  • 8 bake at 400°f for 7 to 9 minutes or until set.
  • 9 immediately remove from cookie sheets and cool completely.
