Snowy Chocolate Scones

Ingredients
- Servings: 6
- 1/3 cup butter
- 1 3/4 cups flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon almond extract
- 3/4 cup chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup sliced almonds
- 1 egg , beaten
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 400 degrees.
- 2 sift flour, sugar, baking powder and salt into a large bowl.
- 3 combine beaten egg, heavy cream and almond extract and refrigerate.
- 4 cut butter into flour the flour mixture until mixture resembles fine crumbs. add chocolate chips and almonds.
- 5 stir in heavy cream mixture. add stir to combine. (i used my hands to form one big ball with the dough).
- 6 form 6 balls and set on a cookie sheet lined with parchemin paper.
- 7 brush scones with egg .
- 8 bake for 12 minutes or until golden brown.
- 9 immediately remove from the cookie sheet and cool on a cooling rack.
