Mrs. Fields Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup dark brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup butter, softened (2 sticks)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 (12 ounce) package semi-sweet chocolate chips

Recipe

  • 1 heat oven to 300°f.
  • 2 combine flour, baking soda and salt in medium bowl using whisk; set aside.
  • 3 mix sugars in bowl with an electric mixer on medium speed.
  • 4 add butter; beat until grainy paste forms.
  • 5 beat in eggs and vanilla on medium speed until light and fluffy.
  • 6 add flour mixture and chocolate chips.
  • 7 beat on low speed just until mixed.
  • 8 do not over mix.
  • 9 drop dough by rounded tablespoons onto ungreased baking sheets, 2-inches apart. bake for 22 minutes until golden brown.
  • 10 transfer cookies to cooling rack.
