Ingredients
- 3 eggs
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon anise extract (optional)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 3/4 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Recipe
- 1 beat eggs and sugar together.
- 2 add melted butter (room temp), and vanilla and anise if using.
- 3 sift dry ingredients into mixture and mix well.
- 4 drop by tablespoon full into a preheated pizzelle iron. cook time and amount used per cookie will vary depending on iron, approximately 1.5 minutes.
- 5 remove when just golden, cookie will crisp and continue to cook when removed.
