Lighter Whole Wheat Peanut Butter Oatmeal Cookies

Total Time: 40 mins Preparation Time: 30 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 12
  • 1/2 cup margarine, softened
  • 1/2 cup reduced-fat peanut butter
  • 3/4 cup splenda brown sugar blend
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/4 cup wheat germ
  • 1/4 cup ground flax seeds
  • 3/4 cup whole wheat flour

Recipe

  • 1 combine margarine and peanut butter until smooth.
  • 2 add egg and sugar until well blended.
  • 3 add vanilla, salt and baking soda.
  • 4 mix in rolled oats, wheat germ and flax seeds until well combined.
  • 5 mix in whole wheat flour.
  • 6 drop by spoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheet.
  • 7 flatten with a fork.
  • 8 bake at 350°f for 10-12 minutes.
