Peanut Brittle

Ingredients
- Servings: 6
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1/2 cup light karo syrup
- 2 cups raw peanuts
- 1/2 cup cold water
- 1 pinch salt
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
Recipe
- 1 in iron frying pan, mix the sugar,syrup, water and salt.
- 2 bring this to a boil.
- 3 add the peanuts and cook over med-high heat stirring constantly approx.
- 4 15 minutes.
- 5 do not scorch.
- 6 peanuts will crack.
- 7 when mixture turns golden, remove from heat and add baking soda.
- 8 pour onto a greased cookie sheet and cool.
- 9 break into pieces when cool.
