Snickerdoodles

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 1/4 cups flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
Recipe
- 1 in a large mixing bowl, cream together butter and 3/4 cup sugar.
- 2 add egg and beat well.
- 3 in a separate bowl, sift together the flour, salt, baking soda, and cream of tartar.
- 4 add the sifted dry ingredients to the butter mixture.
- 5 cover and refrigerate for one hour.
- 6 preheat oven to 400°f.
- 7 on a small plate, mix together 1 tablespoon sugar and 1 tablespoon cinnamon.
- 8 roll dough into balls about the size of a walnut.
- 9 roll each ball in the cinnamon sugar.
- 10 place on ungreased cookie sheet, leaving room between each ball.
- 11 bake 10 minutes or until edges are light brown.
