Orange Biscotti

Ingredients
- 1 cup flour
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 4 tablespoons butter, cut into small pieces
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon orange zest
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 1/2 tablespoons orange juice
Recipe
- 1 mix together the flour, sugar, salt and baking powder.
- 2 blend in the butter until a meal-like texture forms.
- 3 beat the egg.
- 4 add the zest and egg to the mixture until a dough forms.
- 5 knead briefly.
- 6 roll the dough into a 12-inch cylinder.
- 7 place on parchment paper on a cookie sheet.
- 8 bake at 350 for 30 minutes.
- 9 cool slightly.
- 10 cut, on the bias, into 1/2-inch wide slices.
- 11 place the slices on the parchment and bake for 20 minutes longer.
- 12 combine the powdered sugar and orange juice.
- 13 brush onto the biscotti.
- 14 cool before serving.
