Snickerdoodles

Ingredients

• 1 cup butter
• 3/4 cup brown sugar
• 3/4 cup sugar
• 2 eggs, well beaten
• 2 cups flour
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• 1 teaspoon cinnamon
• 1 1/2 cups oatmeal
• cinnamon-sugar mixture

Recipe

• 1 in large mixing bowl, beat butter until creamy. add sugar, mix well until light and fluffy. add eggs, mix well.
• 2 stir together flour, salt, soda, and cinnamon.
• 3 add sifted dry ingredients to creamed mixture. mix until weel combined. stir in oatmeal.
• 4 form 1 inch dough balls. roll into cinnamon and sugar mixture. place on greased cookie sheet. press down with a fork, 1 inch apart.
• 5 bake at 400 degrees for 8-10 minutes. cool and place in a tightly covered container. makes 4 1/2 - 5 dozen cookies.
