Frosted Brown Sugar Cookies

Total Time: 24 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 9 mins

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 cup confectioners' sugar

Recipe

  • 1 in a small mixing bowl, cream butter and brown sugar.
  • 2 beat in egg and sour cream.
  • 3 combine the flour, baking soda and salt.
  • 4 gradually add to creamed mixture.
  • 5 mix well.
  • 6 drop by tablespoonfuls 2 inches apart onto greased baking sheets.
  • 7 bake at 375 degrees for 9-11 minutes or until golden beown.

  • 10 in a small saucepan, melt butter over low heat.
  • 11 add brown sugar.
  • 12 cook and stir for 2 minutes.
  • 13 gradually add the milk.
  • 14 bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
  • 15 remove from the heat.
  • 16 stir in confectioners' sugar.
  • 17 cool for 20-30 minutes.
  • 18 frost cooled cookies.
