Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup crisco
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla flavoring
- 1 egg
- 2 cups flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
Recipe
- 1 cream together butter and crisco.
- 2 add sugar and cream together.
- 3 add slightly beaten egg and vanilla.
- 4 mix dry ingredients then sift in a little at a time to the butter mixture.
- 5 roll into small balls then flatten with a moistened fork.
- 6 bake in a moderate oven (325) until slightly browned on a greased cookie sheet.
