Light & Fluffy Shortbead Cookies

Total Time: 50 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 35 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 300°f.
  • 2 beat butter with mixer until light and fluffy.
  • 3 sift dry ingredients together.
  • 4 add dry ingredients to whipped butter a little at a time.
  • 5 add vanilla last and beat well.
  • 6 drop dough by teaspoonful onto parchment-lined cookie sheet and bake 30-40 minutes until just turning light golden brown.
  • 7 cookies will be delicate.
  • 8 pack or freeze carefully.
  • 9 for a different look add a candied cherry half to the center of each cookie before baking.
