Hungarian Cookies For Beginners

Ingredients

- 4 cups unsifted flour
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 lb margarine
- 3 eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 2 teaspoons milk
- 1 beaten egg
- 1/2 cup jam
Recipe
- 1 sift together dry ingredients.
- 2 cut in margarine as for pie crust.
- 3 add eggs, vanilla and milk, just enough to hold dough together. do not work this dough, just blend ingredients.
- 4 roll out and cut into squares 3x3 inch, not too thin.
- 5 fill with any desired filling.
- 6 brush top with beaten egg.
- 7 bake at 350 degrees fahrenheit until golden brown.
