Hungarian Cookies For Beginners

Total Time: 45 mins Preparation Time: 30 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 26
  • 4 cups unsifted flour
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 lb margarine
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 2 teaspoons milk
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 1/2 cup jam

Recipe

  • 1 sift together dry ingredients.
  • 2 cut in margarine as for pie crust.
  • 3 add eggs, vanilla and milk, just enough to hold dough together. do not work this dough, just blend ingredients.
  • 4 roll out and cut into squares 3x3 inch, not too thin.
  • 5 fill with any desired filling.
  • 6 brush top with beaten egg.
  • 7 bake at 350 degrees fahrenheit until golden brown.
