Hard Candy

Total Time: 50 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 40 mins

Ingredients

  • 4 cups sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup karo light corn syrup
  • 1 teaspoon peppermint extract

Recipe

  • 1 heat sugar, water and karo to 290 degrees.
  • 2 remove from heat, add flavoring and food coloring.
  • 3 drizzle in thin rows onto cookie sheets lined with foil and covered with sifted confectioners' sugar.
  • 4 cool.
  • 5 crack to size and store in covered container.
