Lavender Shortbread Cookies

Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon lemon extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour, sifted
- 1 tablespoon dried lavender flowers
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
Recipe
- 1 cream butter, sugar, vanilla, and lemon extract.
- 2 add flour, lavender flowers, and salt. (if dough is sticky, add additional 1/4 cup of flour-- dough should be soft and not sticky.).
- 3 chill 1-2 hours.
- 4 preheat oven to 325 degrees.
- 5 on a lightly floured surface, roll out dough about 1/4 inch thick.
- 6 cut out shapes with cookie cutters and place on ungreased cookie sheet).
- 7 bake 10-15 minutes or until cookies are lightly browned around the edges.
