Mariane's Gingersnaps

Ingredients
- 3/4 cup margarine
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup corn syrup (karo)
- 1/4 cup molasses
- 2 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon ginger
Recipe
- 1 cream butter and sugar.
- 2 add egg, syrup and molasses.
- 3 mix in sifted dry ingredients.
- 4 cool dough overnight or at least 4 hours.
- 5 (if you are in a hurry i have put the dough in freezer for 1/2 hour or so.) roll small balls (small tbls) and roll in sugar.
- 6 place on greased cookie sheet.
- 7 bake 350 degrees 10-12 minutes.
- 8 don't overbake.
- 9 note from mariane: i sometimes even use almost 1/3 c each of the syrup and molasses.
- 10 makes them chewier.
