Norske Kroner - Norwegian Crowns Cookies

Ingredients

- 6 egg yolks, hard cooked
- 6 egg yolks
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 1/2 cups butter
- 3 cups flour, sifted
- 1 egg , slightly beaten
- sugar crystals
Recipe
- 1 mash hard cooked egg yolks very finely; cream with uncooked egg yolks, salt and sugar.
- 2 add butter and flour alternately, a little at a time.
- 3 cover and chill until stiff.
- 4 preheat oven to 400°f.
- 5 roll dough into strips 1/2" in diameter and about 5" long.
- 6 shape into rings, crossing the ends.
- 7 dip in egg , then in sugar.
- 8 bake for 8 to 10 minutes.
