Heath Bar Candy

Total Time: 35 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter (not margarine)
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 tablespoons water
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 lb milk chocolate chips or 1 lb semi-sweet chocolate chips

Recipe

  • 1 in heavy saucepan, combine butter, sugar, and water. stirring constantly bring to 300* on candy thermometer.
  • 2 remove from heat - add vanilla and stir (careful, it will bubble).
  • 3 pour into foil lined or silpat covered cookie sheet - sprinkle chocolate chips on top.
  • 4 when the chips melt, spread the chocolate over like frosting.
  • 5 after it sets, break into pieces and place in airtight container.
