Pecan Shortbread

Ingredients
- Servings: 12
- 1/2 lb butter, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 2 cups flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup pecan pieces
Recipe
- 1 cream the butter and sugar in a standing mixer.
- 2 slowly add flour, then salt.
- 3 fold in pecan pieces.
- 4 roll dough into ball shape, wrap in plastic, and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- 5 on floured surface, roll dough out to 1/4-inch thickness.
- 6 cut into desired shapes (squares and triangles are my favorite, but a round cookie cutter can be used).
- 7 transfer cut out dough to ungreased cookie sheet.
- 8 prick with fork and chill again for 20 minutes.
- 9 preheat oven to 350 degrees f.
- 10 bake 20 minutes or until edges are lightly browned.
