Homemade Granola

Ingredients
- 1 -3 tablespoon light no-salt butter (or olive oil)
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/4-1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 7 -8 cups oats, quick cook kind
- raisins or dried cherries or dried cranberries, etc
Recipe
- 1 melt butter, brown sugar and water together in a pan over medium heat.
- 2 stir well, and simmer for 2-3 minutes.
- 3 in a bowl, mix together cinnamon and oats and add to the brown sugar mix.
- 4 remove from the heat and stir until all oats are well coated.
- 5 place granola on a cookie sheet (with edges), and bake for 5 minutes at 375. remove from the oven, and stir/flip granola and bake for another 5 minutes until granola is lightly browned.
- 6 allow granola to cool on the cookie sheet.
- 7 transfer to an airtight container when cool.
